Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; respond well to questions; demonstrate group presentation skills; and participate in meetings.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Knowledge of addictions and mental health complications.Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence, and positive cultural identity.Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs that includes:• Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual.• Alcohol and addictive drugs and their impact on the family.2• Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists and to take appropriate action, when necessary.Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose.Knowledge of the stages of alcohol and other drug withdrawals and ability to take appropriate action at each stage.Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including:• Confidentiality• Patient Rights• Professional Code of Ethics• DiscriminationKnowledge of airborne and blood-borne pathogens (TB, HIV, AIDS, HB) and risk reduction methodologies and the use of universal precautions.Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description, which are related to work as a member of the team.1. THE NUMBER ONE RESPONSIBILITY IS TO KEEP PATIENTS SAFE AT ALL TIMES!2. Ensure proper timekeeping of staff. Timecard submission is due every MONDAY by 10:00 am.3. Responsible and accountable for managing direct reports.4. Preparation and presentation of performance evaluations.5. Provides objective feedback to employees.6. Makes appropriate compensation recommendations, if applicable.7. Provides proper training for the department and holds staff accountable for attending required training sessions.8. Monitors all competencies to ensure all new direct employees understand and perform their duties and obligations. Competencies evaluations MUST be documented.49. Holds interviews for vacant positions and appropriately selects candidates for open positions.10. Responsible for recommending and ensuring regulatory staffing patterns.11. Complete patient intakes based on staffing patterns.12. Observe and report patient behaviors to the clinical and medical departments.13. Establish and maintain healthy relationships with the patients. Unprofessional relationships with patients will not be tolerated.14. Redirect patients as needed, under the supervisor's direction, and NEVER DISCIPLINE.15. Assist with the admission process on new patient admissions, orientation procedures, and schedules.16. Record Inventory log of all personal belongings and valuables.17. Ensure staff is aware that a patient has been admitted using standard communication platforms.18. Maintain constant and clear communication during patient admission.19. Complete a timely and accurate shift report at the end of each shift.20. Transport patients as needed, including, but not limited to, outside meetings, appointments, shopping, outings, and to and from treatment.21. Conduct searches of patients' belongings and properties at any time during the patient's treatment episode.22. Facilitate all orientation groups or meetings with patients.23. De-escalate and assist with patients leaving treatment AMA/ACA and other patient problems.24. Know how many patients are on the property and where they are at all times by completing safety checks. SAFETY CHECKS MUST BE COMPLETED BASED ON COMPANY POLICY AND ORDERS.25. Monitor family visits to ensure patient safety.26. Assist the kitchen staff in serving meals when needed. Never use any kitchen equipment at any time. (if applies)27. Supervision of UAs and BAC – includes proper documentation in the EHR.28. Ensure shift checklists are complete prior to the completion of the shift.29. Assist the medical department in monitoring the patients during "medication pass" times. (if applies)30. Keep all properties and office spaces clean. During downtime, ensure the general areas are free of objects and clutter.31. Provides supervision of meals, including supervision of servers and cleanup crew after each meal.32. Ensure that garbage is disposed of properly after each meal. (if applies)33. Monitor the group room to ensure cleanliness after each activity.34. Assist the medical team by obtaining and recording patient vitals. (if applies)35. Ensure all properties are maintained and cleaned at all times.36. Assist Executive Staff if tasks are delegated.37. Participate in all staff meetings and training as scheduled.38. Always maintain a professional demeanor.39. Exercise sound professional judgment and seek assistance as necessary to manage patients effectively.40. Must be available to work on weekends, nights, and holidays. Must be available to work overtime when needed.41. Protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with the organization's privacy policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with the general principle of professionalism as a health care provider. Failure to comply with the organization's policies and procedures on patient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.42. May access protected health information (PHI) and other patent information only to the extent that is necessary to complete your job duties.
