The Billing Director has a heavy emphasis on technology and will oversee all billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, managing accounts receivable, and collaborating with various departments to streamline billing processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of billing systems and financial management.
Billing Operations:
- Oversee the entire billing process, from invoice generation to payment collection.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of billing information and resolve any discrepancies.
- Develop and implement billing policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Implement effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts.
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports.
Customer Relations:
- Address customer inquiries and disputes regarding billing and payments.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer support teams to resolve billing issues.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare regular financial reports related to billing and revenue.
- Analyze billing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to billing and revenue.
System Management:
- Maintain and update billing software and systems.
- Ensure the integration of billing systems with other company software.
- Train staff on the use of billing systems and procedures.
Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and implement audit recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field OR 4 years equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing and leadership, in a technology, medical or remote monitoring company.
- Proficiency in billing software and accounting systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
