The Billing Supervisor at Give Home Medical Equipment will be responsible for overseeing all billing operations related to durable medical equipment (DME) and home medical equipment (HME) provided under the Department of Labor's (DOL) EEOICPA program.
This role will ensure that all billing processes comply with federal policies and program guidelines, and it will manage the team responsible for submitting claims and documentation. The Billing Supervisor will lead efforts to streamline the authorization and billing process while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

\n ResponsibilitiesSupervise the billing operations for DME/HME services provided under the DOL EEOICPA program, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims.Develop and implement billing procedures to meet compliance with DOL policies, focusing on successful claim approvals and reimbursement.Oversee and ensure proper documentation of patient authorizations, equipment deliveries, and other required records for claims submissions.Collaborate with internal teams, including the warehouse and customer service departments, to ensure accurate inventory tracking and patient order fulfillment for billing purposes.Monitor claims and reimbursement statuses, addressing any discrepancies, delays, or rejections with corrective actions.Train and develop billing staff, focusing on accurate claims submission, documentation standards, and compliance with DOL policies.Participate in the hiring process for billing personnel, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement professional development initiatives for billing staff.Review billing procedures and documentation regularly to ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies.Assist in audits and reviews of billing operations, ensuring proper records and compliance are maintained.Prepare regular reports on billing performance, claim statuses, and reimbursement trends for management review. QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, healthcare management, or a related field (preferred).Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.Demonstrated strong knowledge of DOL billing procedures, specifically for the EEOICPA program, including documentation, authorization, and claim submission requirements.Deep understanding of billing for durable medical equipment (DME) and home medical equipment (HME), including inventory tracking, documentation standards, and reimbursement processes.Proven ability to hire, train, and manage a team of billing professionals. Experience conducting performance evaluations and mentoring staff for professional growth.Proficiency in billing and claims software, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and adapt to company-specific systems.Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations related to medical billing, with a focus on compliance, audits, and accurate documentation.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions to the billing team and present information to management.Ability to resolve billing issues, claims denials, and discrepancies efficiently and with attention to detail.
