At LCRA, we are looking for a driven Building Information Modeling Analyst! As a team, we manage and maintain one of the largest and most advanced private communications networks in Texas. LCRA provides critical communications services for a diverse customer base including utilities, transit systems, flood warning management, school districts, and public safety. In this role your duties will include using a version of an Operation Support System which requires some experience with GIS and utilize Building Information Modeling Software like BIM or Revit. Other duties may include some software development. As a BIM Analyst working independently is great, however working with the engineers is our goal. You will be trusted to:
- Utilize Building Information Modeling software such as Revit and Bentley Systems along with Python Scripting to analyze and interpret digital twin data efficiently.
- Stream data preparation with Power BI dataflows for enhanced project analysis.
- Ensure seamless data integration and analysis between BIM Modeling platforms (REVIT and Bentley Systems), Power BI.
- Apply machine learning and AI to effectively interpret complex data structures from BIM models.
- Lead and manage large-scale IT and construction projects ensuring effective coordination across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Create dynamic visual and dashboards in Power BI incorporating BIM data for comprehensive insights.
- Uphold the integrity of digital twin databases ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
- Utilize Python for advanced data cleaning, preprocessing, and exploration tasks optimizing BIM data utilization,
- Develop and manage 3D visualizations and virtual tours to enhance project presentation and stakeholder engagement.
You qualify with:
- Six or more years of experience interpreting technical drawings/documents and performing technical analysis; drafting using computer-aided design software; performing engineering design or other relevant experience. A degree in computer-aided design, engineering technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver's license if traveling independently to various locations (substations, power plants, water systems, etc.)
