BUSINESS ANALYST: This is not a remote position, Worksite is located in New Orleans, LA. Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Can be flexible)
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ability to collect and analyze data related to financial
systems and customer support. Ability to articulate issues and remedies to team
members and stakeholders. Customer service skills and ability to support
taxpayers and other front-end business staff. Critical thinking and troubleshooting for complex
issues. Data entry proficiency for financial recordkeeping
and financial record management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide
insights and recommendations that drive business
decisions. Works independently to satisfy prioritized tasks and
duties. Self-starter that can learn and operate unfamiliar
applications and tools as needed to perform duties. Self-starter that can work and perform duties with
minimal supervision. Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business,
accounting, finance, or similar. 3+ years of experience as a business analyst in a
financial background.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a
keen attention to detail.
Proficient in business tools such as Microsoft Office
products.
Proficient in letter writing, notetaking, and analysis of
laws.
Experience with spreadsheet software like Excel or
Google Sheets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
with the ability to present reports and issues to team
members and stakeholders.
Data entry proficiency and fast, accurate skills that
can assist in timely input to support systems Desired Skills:
Familiarity with GenTax application.
5+ years of experience in business environments.
Proficiency in supporting new systems and
processes.
Previous work in tax administration and taxing
programs.
Experience in administration of taxes including sales
tax, short-term rental tax, alcohol beverage
licensing, and occupational licensing. Must be computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Suite. Knowledge of QuickBase preferred but not required.
