Overall responsibility: The Business Data Analyst will be instrumental in constructing and maintaining data connectors that facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data into Trellance's Data Models. This role demands a proactive individual who excels in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), showcases exceptional analytical skills, and thrives in a collaborative environment to address and resolve multifaceted issues.
KEY AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, implement, and oversee the data mapping specifications, ensuring robust data lineage.Act as the pivotal point of contact between IT and business units, spearheading data requirements collection and mapping efforts.Convert business needs from the credit union domain into precise technical specifications.Demonstrate expertise in credit union industry database systems.Collaborate with Development and Testing teams to manage intricate system modifications.Engage with stakeholders and data governance bodies to curate and uphold comprehensive Data Dictionaries and Enterprise Business Glossary.Conduct project feasibility studies, define project scopes, and liaise with Agile teams to align deliverables with strategic goals.Offer essential support to development, implementation, and operational teams.Forge partnerships with development and analytics teams to enhance the reporting capabilities of software solutions.Participate actively in Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and functional testing.Adhere to and contribute to the refinement of company processes.POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of four (4) years of related experience, or a High School Diploma with at least eight years of experience. Proficiency in Excel (Advanced), Confluence, Azure DevOps, and Snowflake. Minimum of three years in a customer-facing role, managing projects and presentations. Solid understanding of SQL Server, including tables, views, and stored procedures. Experience with banking platforms such as DNA, Keystone, Episys, or XP2. Deep knowledge of financial data, preferably within Credit Union/Banking sectors. Familiarity with data warehouse and BI solutions. Outstanding communication, organizational, and planning skills. Ability to multitask and manage projects in a dynamic environment.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: 3+ years of experience working as a Functional, Data or Business Analyst or Data Governance Analyst.3+ years' experience in Excel (Advanced), Confluence, JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Snowflake.3+ years of customer interfacing experience – project oversight, customer presentation.3+ years of SQL Server knowledge and experience – Tables, Views, stored procedures.3+ years of experience working with credit union database systems.In-depth knowledge of financial institutions and financial data, preferably Credit Union/Banking related.Candidate must have knowledge of data warehouse/BI solutions.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Able to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for the development team.Excellent organizational and planning skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.Other Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities to foster relationships with various stakeholders.Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.Emotional intelligence and maturity.A team player who can also excel independently.Discretion in handling confidential information and adaptability to meet diverse demands.Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.Goal-oriented with the capacity to meet tight deadlines.A visionary mindset with a knack for identifying opportunities and devising solutions.Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.Strong organizational skills; attentive to details and accuracy.
