This position is responsible for identifying and advancing sales opportunities for IATD's automation-related product platforms, resulting in sales growth for these new product programs.
This sales role takes lead position on sales opportunities involving automation NPI's, working closely with the account rep. Additionally, you will work in close collaboration with laboratory, portfolio, and activation marketing to achieve sales growth.

Project Leadership and NPI Sales Accountability Identifying, developing, and closing new automation-related sales opportunities to achieve Automation sales targetsDriving sales adoption of Automation new product programs, including, to-be-launched (hammerhead) System, On Demand Bonding System featuring VHB Extrudable Tape, RoboTape System for 3M TapeCollaborating with key members of IATD Bonding Automation Network (Nordson, RT, Kuka, Fanuc, etc.
), and other members including integrators and equipment suppliersAutomation Expertise Becoming a bonding automation subject matter expert and partner with internal Application Engineers and external customers and partnersProviding leadership, coaching, and direction to IATD sales professional teams related to Automation opportunitiesCompany Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionMinimum of five (5) years of sales or marketing experience in a private, public, government or military environmentCurrent, valid Driver's LicenseAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Advanced experience and knowledge with tape and adhesive productsExperience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologiesSales specialist or key account selling experienceExperience working with external partners to help mutual customersAbility to work as an influencer, stakeholder, leader, or team member with other sales repsTrack record of new business developmentRelationship builder with a competitive natureExperience and comfort presenting to customers, including corner office executivesWell organized, self-starter, process driven, with the ability to prioritizeCross-functional 3M experienceExperience with Salesforce CRM and PowerBi ReportingWork location: RemoteTravel: May include up to 50% domestic travel
