Brailsford and Dunlavey is seeking an experienced business development senior manager to join our growing team in Washington, DC. Position Purpose
The business development senior manager will lead strategic business development initiatives and drive revenue growth. This individual will also oversee developing and designing compelling proposals and presentations, ensuring alignment with the firm's branding and messaging. A strong background in Adobe InDesign is required to deliver high-quality, visually engaging documents.
Position Responsibilities Proposal Development and Management Oversee developing, writing, and designing proposals, RFP responses, and other client-facing documents.Ensure that all materials align with the firm's brand and effectively communicate the value proposition.Design and Visual Content Creation Utilize Adobe InDesign and other graphic design software to create professional, visually appealing proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.Market Research and Analysis Conduct market research to identify trends, analyze competitor strategies, and understand client sectors.Translate findings into actionable strategies that drive business growth.Collaboration and Leadership Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, project teams, and technical staff, to gather insights and information for proposals and presentations.Mentor and guide junior staff members in business development activities.Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field. A master's degree or additional certification in business development or a related area is a plus.Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development within a professional services environment (architecture, engineering, consulting, law, etc.).Proficiency in Adobe InDesign for proposal and presentation design is required.Proven track record of successful business development strategies, and proposal developmentStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and compellingly.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience in CRM software and data analysis tools is an advantage.Demonstrated commitment to client satisfaction and ethical business practices.Proven adaptability, flexibility, and creativityAbility to be productive in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional work environment.Demonstrated sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, gender, gender identity, cultural, disability, and ethical backgrounds.Why work with us?

The base annual salary range for this role is currently $100,000-130,000. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate, and pay relative to other team members.
