The Business Manager of Indirect Purchasing is a critical leadership role responsible for the overall strategy, performance, and development of the indirect purchasing team. Reporting directly to the Global Director of Indirect Supply Chain, and envisioned to manage a small team of support staff, this position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, operational, and analytical skills to manage supplier risk, optimize resource allocation, foster team development, and drive operational efficiency within the indirect purchasing function. The role will support the Indirect leadership team with focus on maximizing value, mitigating risk, and ensuring the seamless flow of indirect goods and services to support the company's operations.
In this position...
Develop, track and report all key Indirect Objectives, KPI's, Initiatives & Enablers.
Support Indirect Leader with development and measurement of organizational level strategic initiatives, leveraging benchmarking and analytics.
Lead specific initiatives that cross multiple categories of spend.
What you'll do...
Facilitate and lead preparation for all Indirect governance meetings; improve and standardize Indirect presentation material and department communication.
Coordinate headcount tracking, workload assessment and optimization across Indirect teams.
Represent Indirect in Supply Chain not related to specific category.
Initial point of contact / triage for programs with no clear Indirect buying team.
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in indirect purchasing, 8 years of experience overall.
Even better, you may have...
Master's degree preferred.
Proven track record of success in supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, and cost reduction.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, risk management, and procurement best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using procurement software and systems (e.g., ERP systems).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with budget management and financial reporting.
Expertly skilled at analytical and presentation tools. Willing and able to learn new technologies / tools quickly.
