Business Services Coordinator II (Time Limited) Location Wake County, NC : Description of Work This is a time-limited position. It is full-time (40 hours per week) with State Benefits for a limited time. Although the length of time this position will be active cannot be determined, it has the potential to extend up to 3 years (36 months). If you have questions concerning the time-limited status of this position, you may inquire at the interview. * This position currently qualifies for a hybrid telework option with routine office and remote workdays. The NC Department of Environmental Quality trusts our employees to be self-motivated and successful in hybrid/remote roles. Telework options are subject to change at the discretion of management. *These positions are pending reclassification to Business Services Coordinator II. * These positions coordinate the compliance for a portfolio of ARPA funded projects to ensure requirements are met. These positions serve as internal support to program Grants staff and a contact for external subrecipient and contractor entities in their role as it relates to the Grant Compliance Unit. Other Key Responsibilities: Support Grant Administrators in monitoring of ARPA-delivered programs, subrecipient-delivered programs, and vendors. Assist in developing routine compliance monitoring plans, annual or multiyear, to audit ARPA's grant-funded programs. Perform ad hoc compliance review of programs or aspects of programs. Perform routine risk assessments of NCDEQ delivered programs, administrative activities, and financial operations. Collaborate with the ARPA Compliance Manager to develop technical assistance and training materials for various policy and compliance topics. Office of Continuous Improvement: The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) Office of Continuous Improvement is responsible for the planning and implementation of programs, grant administration and sub recipient monitoring designated in the state statute/budget that are primarily focused on executing the programs associated with the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, resiliency programming, and other large scale funding programs which will total about $3.5B in funding. Demonstrated experience preparing and/or summarizing financial information. Demonstrated experience in developing written documents for government programs. Management Preferences : Demonstrated experience in providing customer service by responding to inquiries or working in a call center.
