The CAD Standards & Methods Specialist will be a member of the PLM Group at Beta Technologies. The Specialist will have a good basis in CAD Design Methods and Best Practices and will join the team ready and committed to improving and expanding those skills while supporting Catia and Solidworks for the Engineering Teams. The Specialist will work directly with the CAD Methods lead and other PLM Group members on a daily basis to collaborate on, assist, and review engineering processes & tools for use in Beta Engineering Product Development and Production Operations. The Specialist will work closely with Product Development, Production, and Service Engineers within Beta in order to help champion and promote the development of robust engineering design and analysis methods.
\n How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:Assist in development of and champion robust adoption of Product CAD and DMU Engineering best practicesHelp to develop and support a robust CAD training program for Design Design and Reviewer team membersHelp develop and manage parametric product architecture models such as Skeletons, Master Lines, and Interface ControlsAssist in establishing and help to maintain CAD Standards including but not limited to 3D Modeling, Drafting, Materials & Mass, and Standard Parts librariesWork with and in support of engineers across departments to uncover knowledge gaps in CAD and PLM methods, and proactively seek to leverage unused software features to improve existing process inefficienciesTraining and support of Product Development and Manufacturing Engineers in Catia and Solidworks modeling, relational design, generative shape design, drafting, review, and other key functionalities Minimum Qualifications we are seeking (your Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities): 2-3 years of experience with configuring and supporting CAD engineering design software. CATIA preferred, SOLIDWORKS also beneficial2-3 years of experience in Aerospace or Automotive, Transport or other complex mechanical product development and manufacturing industry preferredStrong underlying theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering design and analysis disciplines and practicesStrong problem solving and root cause corrective action investigation background.
