The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00 per hourbased on skills and experience.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with medications, documentation of medication assistance, and resident care.
The Certified Medication Technician must have strong communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with the resident, the resident's family and all team members.
She/ he must be able to observe and report changes in the resident's physical condition or behavior.
She /he also carries out all other duties of a Resident Assistant.Responsible for:Ensure that the attainmentof Victory Housing, Inc. Mission Statement takes precedence over all decisionsand actionsAdheres to all VictoryHousing policies and procedures, COMAR 10.07.14 regulations as well as County,State and Federal guidelines including by limited to DOH, CDC, CMS, and OSHAAt all times, implementsuniversal precautions and infectious disease control protocols.
Wear assigned PPE appropriately per policyand as requestedComplete all assignedtraining including initial orientation, COMAR 10.07.14 requirements, monthlyin-services, HIPAA, VHI required personal care and skills modules.
Participates in required safety anddisaster drills as assigned and mandatedCoordinates with RegisteredNurse/LPN on all matters relating to the Clinical Program and MedicationDelivery SystemRead and document pertinentand objective information in the Communication Log for Resident updates, statuschanges and/or observationsAdminister Medications and Treatments utilizing the EMAR platform.
Administration includes: Prepare appropriate medication for med-pass (with attention to the following):* Correct drug* Correct resident* Correct route* Correct dosage* Correct time* Right Charting Ensure medications are not expiredBring medications to Resident in either suite or common areas in a discreteapproved location.

Inthe event the system is down, neatly document the med-pass on the paper MARimmediately after each passDocument legibly Resident concerns made during med- passIn the event a Residentrefuses to take prescribed medication, document the file and immediately reportto the Health, Wellness Delegating RN/LPN/CoordinatorAnswer Resident questions or concerns regarding medicationsUpon completion ofmedication pass, return all non-dispensed medication to the cart.
Lock the cartWash hands before and aftermedication pass or whenever medication comes in contact with your hands.
Adhere to Universal Precautions whenadministering all medications.
Handsanitizer may be used in lieu of washing hands if hands are not soiledPrepare Resident'smedications to accompany them on short-term absences from the Community.
Document medication record legiblyMaintain orderliness and cleanliness of medication cart and Wellness CenterRestock medication cart withcups and spoons after medication pass is completedAdhere to narcotics countpolicy.
Count, verify, sign and datethe two check narcotics count at thebeginning and completion of each shiftIf Health, Wellness Delegating RN/LPN/Coordinator is not at Community, assist withmedication delivery by pharmacy.
