The CCO will be at the forefront of leading the company's consumer, commercial, and trust compliance programs, and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing these initiatives.
This role involves enforcing and monitoring compliance with consumer protection rules and regulations, as well as leading teams to support the execution of the compliance program.
The CCO will also be tasked with reporting to management and the Board of Directors, managing compliance training, and coordinating with various departments to ensure that compliance obligations are met.
Candidates for the Chief Compliance Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10 years in a comparable role within a bank or banking regulator.
A strong background in consumer protection laws and regulations is essential, as is direct experience working with bank regulators.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading and developing compliance teams, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact with boards and executive management.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve issues and discrepancies are also required.
The CCO will be expected to stay current on all relevant laws and regulations and to ensure that compliance is integrated into the company's new product development and other projects.
