POSITION SUMMARY The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company's financial strategy and department, providing guidance on and driving financial decisions that impact long-term profitability, growth, and sustainability. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will oversee financial planning, risk management, capital allocation, and compliance, ensuring the company's financial health while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. This position requires a strategic, proactive leader with experience in the manufacturing sector, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Strategy & Leadership - Develop and implement financial strategies and processes to support growth, enhance profitability, and ensure the company's long-term sustainability. - Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive management on financial performance, financial risks, and key business initiatives. - Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability. - Oversee, develop and manage the organization's cost structure and processes including all procurement/purchasing activities and processes. - Develop and implement a robust strategy and plan for ERP use. Financial Planning & Analysis - Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, aligning with the company's strategic goals and business priorities. - Monitor and report on financial performance, providing detailed analysis and insights to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. - Develop models to assess various scenarios, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, to support the company's growth strategy. Capital Management & Investment - Lead capital allocation and investment strategies, optimizing the company's financial resources to drive innovation, expansion, and profitability. - Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions, ensuring access to capital and maintaining a positive financial outlook. - Oversee cash management, credit control, and treasury functions to optimize liquidity and financial flexibility. Risk Management & Compliance - Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and financial reporting requirements, including GAAP, IFRS, and pharmaceutical industry standards. - Develop and implement robust internal controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency. - Lead risk assessment activities, including those related to supply chain volatility, cost management, and industry-specific financial challenges. Operational & Business Partnership - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production optimization, supply chain and procurement strategies, and new business vetting and quoting, aligning financial goals with operational and growth priorities. - Support M&A activities and integration efforts, conducting financial due diligence and valuation assessments to maximize return on investment. - Serve as a key advisor on major business decisions, providing financial insights and impact analysis on product pricing, market entry strategies, and operational improvements. IT Oversight & Leadership - Develop, implement and manage organizational IT strategy and department. - Ensure organization's security protocols and measures are sufficient and robust. - Oversee technology programs to ensure the company is using the most fitting technology and that it is utilized efficiently EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred. - 10+ years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry. - In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, compliance requirements, and industry-specific financial challenges. - Proven track record of driving financial performance, managing complex budgets, and leading capital strategies in a growth-oriented environment. - Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information to stakeholders. - Demonstrated experience in M&A, investor relations, and capital markets is highly desirable. - Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
