We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Program Officer for our residential service division. As a Program Officer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various residential sites, implementing strategic planning initiatives, and driving process improvement efforts within the organization. The Chief Program Officer (CPO) is a key executive leader responsible for overseeing and driving the strategic planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all residential programs and initiatives within the organization. The CPO plays a pivotal role in carrying out the organization's mission, vision, and impact, ensuring that programs align with the organization's goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the design, planning, and implementation of new programs, ensuring they meet identified needs and are scalable and sustainable.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess program effectiveness, regularly evaluating and adjusting programs to optimize outcomes.
Develop and execute a comprehensive program strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and goals, fostering innovation and growth.
Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of program staff who foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, funders, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to advance program objectives.
Lead and manage residential programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide leadership and guidance to residential teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Supervise managers/directors for the residential programs.
Assist in development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align program objectives with overall business strategies.
Oversee operations management activities.
Utilize negotiation skills to secure partnerships and resources for program development.
Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion.
1 week on call which rotates every 5-6 weeks.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's degree in a related field is highly preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in program management, including at least 3 years in a senior management role.
Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience in managing and motivating diverse teams.
Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation within a nonprofit or similar organization is a plus.
Experience supervising multi-site residential programs.
Proven track record in process improvement initiatives.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards success.
Experience working closely with senior leadership on decision-making processes.
Solid understanding of operations management principles.
