Job Duties: Setting Long-Term Company Strategy: Craft and execute a technology strategy aligned with Uptake's long-term goals; Ensure technology strategy enhances business objectives and market position.Forming Strategic Partnerships and Business Development: Establish strategic partnerships to boost technological capabilities and market presence; Spearhead business development initiatives using technology for new opportunities.Visionary Leadership and Setting Technical Direction: Lead technology development and deployment with visionary insight; Define the company's technical direction, adopting advanced technologies and methods.Stakeholder Management and Investor Relations: Manage key stakeholder relationships, including with investors and board members; Effectively communicate technology strategies and progress.Implementing and Overseeing Company-Wide KPIs: Develop and manage KPIs to gauge technology initiatives' effectiveness; Monitor and analyze KPIs for alignment with business goals.Identifying and Integrating New Technologies: Continually assess emerging technologies for potential business impact; Lead the integration of new technologies to enhance innovation and efficiency.Research and Development Oversight: Direct R&D for ongoing product and service innovation; Keep abreast of tech advancements and industry trends.Organizational Technology Infrastructure: Supervise the development and upkeep of the company's tech infrastructure; Ensure strong cybersecurity and data protection measures.Talent Management and Team Development: Recruit, retain, and nurture top technology talent; Promote a culture of learning and professional growth.Budget Management and Resource Allocation: Oversee the technology budget, ensuring efficient resource use; Collaborate with finance and operations for strategic investment alignment.Product Innovation and Customer Experience: Lead product innovation to fulfill customer needs and improve user experience; Work with customer success and marketing for feedback integration.Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations; Guide the tech team in best practices for compliance and governance.Will supervise the work of 8 to 12 employees with varying job titles and/or levels of responsibility (e.g., Director of Engineering; Director of Data Science; Director of IT Security; VP of Technology; VP of Product Development; Senior Project Manager; Lead Project Manager; Lead Software Engineer; Lead Data Scientist).
Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or its foreign equivalent) plus 10 years of experience. In lieu of a Master's degree and 10 years of experience, Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or its foreign equivalent) plus 8 years of experience.
