The Design Engineer is responsible for conceptual, preliminary, and final design calculations of high voltage substation, transmission, and distribution of steel structures. Possible responsibilities include preliminary designs with weight take-offs for estimating, project management, schedule and document coordination with diverse customer base, and preparation of final structure designs.

REQUIREMENTS: The Design Engineer position requires a Bachelors Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or University.Engineering Intern (E.I.) preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe required.Familiarity with AutoCAD is considered a plus.Excellent communication, organization, and writing skills are a must.Regular, reliable attendance is required. EXPECTATIONS:Performs quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interacts professionally with other employees and customers.Works effectively as a team contributor on all assigned projects.Demonstrates integrity and ethics in all client relationships and communications.Communicates regularly with other team members regarding designs, concerns, or continuous improvement projectsParticipates in continued education and trainingRemote work will be considered based on level of experience and communication skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum 4 years of experience designing transmission and/or Substation structures for the High Voltage industry.Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering is required. PE is requiredStrong background in PLS-Pole, STAAD.pro, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
