Civil Water Resource Engineer Job Description
Gpac, a 30+ year recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established full-service engineering firm. Our client, a fast-growing family company, is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer specializing in water resources to join their team and lead teams and projects. Position Responsibilities:
- Design and develop water resource engineering projects
- Develop and review project proposals to meet client needs
- Coordinate design with project manager while maintaining great client relations
- Implement stormwater management strategies and solutions
- Coordinate labor and equipment resources
- Review plans, specifications, and estimates at various project stages to insure completeness and accuracy
Position Essential Job Functions:
- Utilize working knowledge of design standards to create innovative engineering solutions
- Apply expertise in AASHTO, MUTCD, WEG, APWA, and AWWA to ensure compliance and quality
- Utilize ArcGIS, InfoSWMM, and CAD software for data analysis and project design
- Conduct field surveys and inspections to gather data for engineering projects
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project updates
Position Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field
- EIT or PE License Required
- 3-5 years in Civil Engineering, Water/Wastewater Treatment Facilities, Water/Sewer Mains, Pump Stations and Storm Facilities
- Proficiency in using design software and tools including ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, KYPipe, SewerGEMS, WaterCAD, HEC-RAS, and Microsoft applications
- Strong project management, leadership, and technical writing/communication skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
