Claims Associate

What Youll Do:
Interacts professionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person Performs functions of the role within an IMA office 60% of the time Maintains a proactive approach, focusing on claim resolutions and strategies; advocates for the timely resolution of claim matters Communicates pertinent claim information on a timely basis to internal and external clients Develops strong working knowledge of Applied Epic and Carrier Interface Systems Develops external relationships with internal and external clients Assists on Claims Projects, coordinates claim reviews, reports, loss runs, or other tasks as assigned Demonstrates technical insurance knowledge Support and demonstrate IMAs core values Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates.
You Should Have:: 1 to 3 years of similar or related experience Experience with EPIC preferred Experience with MS Office products preferred/required (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel) (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business/trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program Prior claim experience preferred or coordination of claim and general insurance experience Strong communication skills and basic mathematical skills required Ability to discuss and solve claim problems and communicate same with clients and carriers This Job Description is not a complete statement of all duties and responsibilities comprising this position. In addition to our robust benefits package, the hiring range for this position is $60,000-$80,000.
While this is the targeted range, final offer amounts will depend on a variety factors, including the candidates geographic location, prior relevant experience, and their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
