Commercial Account Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION Responsible for the day-to-day account management of routine to moderate complexity commercial lines accounts.
Secures renewal for existing business, provides internal support to producers as they pursue new business opportunities and round out existing book of business.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the day-to-day account issues for clientsManage an assigned book of business of $600,000 in revenue or lessMarket accounts by completing applications, submitting to eligible and appropriate carriers; follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policiesPrepare summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals for word processingPrepare premium allocations for clients as neededOrder and issue policies, verify them for accuracy and deliver to clientsProcess renewals in coordination with Producer; occasionally takes lead in renewal meeting with the client, strategy determination, marketing and carrier negotiationsPrepare coverage recommendations for client approvalFrequently accompany Producer on client meetingsSupport producer(s) to maintain current book of business and new business placementIs the primary contact for the client on majority of issues PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENTS Sets priorities and manages work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilitiesMaintains a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contactsRemains informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technologyMust have experience in an insurance brokerage/agency a minimum of 5+ years and a Property & Casualty license.
