SUMMARY OF POSITION The Compliance Director at EnviroVantage is an exciting opportunity to lead the Compliance department at a rapidly growing company in the environmental field.
The Compliance Director is a critical leadership role that will work closely with the Operations and Estimating teams to ensure all new and active projects are set up for success.
The Compliance Director is also responsible for ensuring the Project Management and field staff understands the exact scope of work, and partners together to develop the workplans.
In this role writing and reviewing workplan formatting will be a key to success.
Job types vary and can include Abatement, Remediation and Demolition ranging in size from $50k to $30M +.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Review spec documents for upcoming and active projects to make recommendations to Estimating & Project Management teams. Manage the compliance team and ensure all preconstruction client deliverables are complete and accurate in a timely manner. Write and review work plans in partnership with the Project Management team. Gather information for waste profiles and submit final profiles to waste vendors. Review project documents for submittal requirements and gather necessary paperwork per project requirements. Stay informed about new and changing laws and regulations relevant to the Construction industry. Assess the impact of regulatory changes and communicate necessary adjustments to the Operations and Estimating teams. Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from employees, regulators, and other stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in compliance or regulatory role, preferably within the Construction and/or environmental remediation industry Strong working knowledge of various state regulations for asbestos, lead, mold, duct cleaning, and heavy metals Strong understanding of respiratory protection, air monitoring and sampling/clearance methods and requirements Strong understanding of OSHA regulations for construction Working understanding of RCRA and TSCA waste streams Experience with EM-385-1-1 Experience with remediation and/or demolition projects for USACE, NAVFAC, USAF, USCG, EPA, or NPS Preferred Qualifications Experience with developing and submitting a full Accident Prevention Plan for USACE Working knowledge of soil and groundwater remediation Experience with PFAS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department and the organization's facilities.
