Job Description


Exciting Opportunity at MSK! We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager to oversee financial compliance, monitoring, and analysis at MSK.
In this pivotal role, you will ensure adherence to federal regulations and institutional policies while supporting our mission to advance research excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
* Implement processes to monitor financial compliance across project lifecycles.

* Analyze and conduct reviews of financial data or effort-related data to ensure integrity and compliance with federal regulations, and/or sponsor terms and conditions and/or institutional policies and procedures.

* Collaborate with Finance/Grants and Contracts Accounting, Research Finance Managers, and other Office of Research Project Administration Unit Leaders units, as needed, to resolve outstanding issues.
Review allowability of high-risk transactions (e.g., research core facility charges, patient care expenses, etc.)
and work with appropriate personnel/units to resolve unallowed costs
* Prepare analyses and help resolve post-grant expenses to support award close-out activities.
Monitor the effort reporting system to help ensure timely review and certification within specified timeframes.

* Preview SKI cost transfers to determine appropriateness with federal regulations, maintain files and track key information and status.

* Assist with responses to external auditors in collaboration with Associate Director, RPA Compliance and Outreach
* Stay current on issues and potential changes that may impact policies and procedures and assist with revising/updating documentation accordingly.

Key Qualifications:
* At least 5+ years in research administration in a healthcare or university setting or equivalent experience.

* Financial compliance experience or experience within a post-award or grant and contracts accounting office
* Knowledge of cost principles of the Public Health Service (PHS), Office of Management and Budget and Uniform Guidance
Core Skills:
* Ability to develop, facilitate and orchestrate effective communication with all ORPA, Finance, and other institutional partners.

* Solid experience interacting with all levels of staff including administration and institutional leaders.

* Experience with accounting systems, relational database tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Office
