Dewberry is currently seeking a detail oriented Construction Coordinator for the Southern, CA market.
The successful candidate will manage the assigned elements of a construction project to assure consistent delivery of the project from pre-construction through closeout for multiple, national programs.
Assigned project elements will largely involve the delivery of retail tenant improvement projects.

Responsibilities
* Assist Construction Project Managers in administering multiple projects simultaneously from pre-construction through closeout.
* Pre-Construction support activities include:
* Assist the Construction PM in coordinating and facilitating the bid process
* Administration of subcontracts to include all procurement activities (solicitation, negotiation, award, monitoring, invoicing validation)
* Construction Phase support activities include:
* Assist with submittals, RFIs, weekly reports, and schedules
* Coordination with subcontractors to obtain submittals, RFIs and invoicing
* Assist with pre-con kickoff meeting and weekly Owner Architect Contractor project meetings
* Track subcontractor invoice payment status and report issues to the Construction PM.
* Closeout Phase support activities include:
* Manage project closeout including coordination with subcontractors for final as-built documentation, O&M packages, warranty certificates, final lien waivers, and permit documentation.
* Assist the Construction PM in delivering land lord required closeout documentation
* Coordinate final lien releases with subcontractors
Required Skills & Required Experience
* Support multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
* Demonstrated organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities and a keen sense of urgency are critical traits.
* Ability to work independently while following instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
* The ability to learn and rapidly become proficient in; JD Edwards Enterprise-One, Deltek Vision, and other Dewberry-specific software programs
* Effective interpersonal written and oral communication skills required.
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
Candidates with a BS in Construction/Engineering Management preferred.
* 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred.
* Expert knowledge of MS Excel required (job requires developing and manipulating complex spreadsheets).
* Proficiency of MS Project preferred.
* Proficiency of Primavera P6 preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.

Salary Range
The projected range for this position is $54,000-$73,000 annually.
Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
