Job Description We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will work closely with assigned Superintendents, to ensure all projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
Responsibilities Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements Develop and manage the Project Management Plan, for multiple projects ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. Determine resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports and report status of each project at weekly progress review meetings. Provide daily/weekly updates to Smartsheet reports, tracking equipment rentals, change orders, material purchases logs, etc. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues Travel to work sites periodically for Quality Control and oversight. Qualifications Qualifications BS/BA degree in engineering, building science or relevant field is highly desired 3 to 4 years of proven successive Project Management experience in commercial or residential construction. Project management: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to manage up to 2 to 3 active projects at one time in various phases: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing. Be able to work on estimating teams for future projects. Driver's License (Required) Work Location: Multiple Locations In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles: Integration, Schedule, Scope, Cost, etc. Familiarity with OSHA Good knowledge of MS Office suite Familiarity with construction/ project management software, Smartsheet is a plus Outstanding communication and negotiation skills Excellent organizational and time-management skills A team player with leadership abilities Additional Information Disclaimer The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
