Job Description:

Dewberry is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent.
The position will be based in the Southern CA Region.
The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for oversite on commercial construction projects.
The typical projects include renovations and retrofits to commercial buildings, retail facilities, and includes upgrades to the buildings interior and the associated mechanical, electrical and controls systems.
Projects may also include a need for partial demolition, general carpentry, roofing and other general renovations associated with the improvements and renovations.
While this role is primarily expected to report to the project sites, the individual will be expected to report the Cerritos, CA office when not at the project site.

Candidates that will be considered should have at least 5 years of experience in the field.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to oversee multi-trade projects in occupied building environments.

Responsibilities:
The position will require the following elements:
Oversee renovations and retrofit to buildings on projects that are up to $5 million in construction, including project planning through implementation Supervise and coordinate onsite personnel and subcontractors to ensure schedule compliance Effectively manage projects to minimize changes, delays and interference with end user Ability to perform minor demolition, general carpentry, framing, hardware installation and small-scale facility upfit activities preferred Interface with project inspectors, architects, engineers clients and local officials Maintain the standards and compliance with plans, specifications, and codes Update and maintain daily logs, project documents for revisions, change orders, ASIs, etc.
Develop Job Hazard Analysis forms, conduct weekly toolbox safety talks and ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines Maintain a clean and safe jobsite Respectful and effective written and verbal communication Required Skills & Required Experience: Experience working in occupied facilities preferred Develop and update construction schedules (Microsoft Project or P6 experience preferred) OSHA 10 and First/Aid CPR Certificate preferred Knowledge and use of Procore is preferred Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft software including excel, project and word; as well as P6 scheduling tool preferred.
The ability to travel regionally 25% is required.
Must have a valid drivers license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check. Dont meet every single requirement?

Salary Range:
The projected range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 annually.
Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
