We're seeking a future team member for the role of Content Strategy Project Coordinator to join our Content Strategy team, part of our Marketing & Communications function. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA and requires a hybrid working schedule of 3 days in office per week.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Own intake of content requests for web publishing and social channels through the team's workflow management platform to support efficient execution of content deliverables across digital channels.
Work with Content Strategy Team members and business stakeholders to determine timelines for projects and balance knowledge about resource bandwidth and skillsets to assign project owners, all while prioritizing the quality of the work and its adherence to established brand guidelines.
Act as first reviewer of a project request to establish whether all information is available to begin work and ask questions to business stakeholders to fill in information gaps as needed. Regularly prompt stakeholders to upload relevant project documents into the workflow management platform in order to uphold governance standards and complete projects on time.
Assist in managing priorities across the content strategy team. Escalate urgent, high-priority tasks to team leadership as appropriate. Accommodate shifting deadlines and priorities, ensuring team is up to speed on changes as they happen.
Regularly track and update task statuses and communicate with key stakeholders to help overcome any obstacles. Multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time while working under tight deadlines with limited resources and doing whatever it takes to meet deadlines. Act with urgency and intention.
Own editorial calendars within workflow management system to ensure teams are all working with up-to-date information, engage in regular communication with all marketing and communications teams to learn of upcoming projects and adjustments to in-progress projects.
Follow best practices for working within the workflow management system, helping to teach others and encourage adoption, train new users on the platform and always exercise a keen eye for refining and improving processes to promote efficiency.
Assist with quarterly reporting initiatives that can help shape resource allocation, identifying the types of reports the content strategy team should be using to inform workload balance across the team as well as track reporting over time to improve accuracy and provide leadership with a knowledgeable view of the team's workload.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
2-4 years of project management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced agency or enterprise marketing and communications team.
Experience using workflow and project management systems such as Workfront, Asana, JIRA, Monday, ClickUp, etc. to manage requests, assign resources and ensure deadlines are met.
Experience writing marketing, campaign or creative briefs.
The ability to take charge to solve production and resource problems quickly and adapt to changing project environments.
The ability to identify opportunities for quality-of-work improvement; propose and create processes and tools to support continuous innovation of content strategy operations.
A client service mentality with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Curiosity for learning the best-kept secrets of technology platforms that can help teams work in sync, stay on task and increase efficiencies and effectiveness.
An interest in light copy-editing and an interest in or willingness to learn about complex financial topics.
