The Baillie Group has developed several custom CI software packages, technologies, and methodologies as we continue in our pursuit of excellence in manufacturing.
Reporting to the Director of Continuous Improvement and Quality, the Continuous Improvement Analyst will be responsible for supporting The Baillie Group's Continuous Improvement activities throughout our manufacturing facilities. This position will be part of the Corporate CI Team and has no direct reports.
Key Responsibilities and Duties: This position is responsible, in partnership with the Continuous Improvement Director, for developing and maintaining a strong CI culture throughout the company. Assist in developing, collecting, maintaining, and providing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics data analysis to support continuous improvement. Provide regular reporting on progress and analysis of trends to KPIs and initiatives to team members at all levels of the organization as appropriate. Document, analyze, and provide recommendations for process improvements throughout the manufacturing process. Assist in CI system rollout with new facilities and team members and assist with documentation and maintaining the current system. Participate in hosted training sessions on how to use the various tools and reports created by the department. Communicate effectively with report stakeholders to ensure a strong understanding of the methodology behind all calculations. Establish and maintain relationships via business meetings, phone conversations, presentations, etc. Other duties may be assigned. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of relevant experience. Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to effectively collaborate and partner with different functional groups. Ability to provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key responsibilities and objectives. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to establish goals and targets to develop measurable and sustainable metrics. Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills for audiences at all levels. Problem solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem-solving situations. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Wood industry experience a plus. Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Experience with different custom software platforms. Experience with SQL a plus. Travel: Some travel may be required.
