Great Western Dining is looking for a skilled Banquet Cook to prepare delicious meals.
An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions.
They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking.
Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important.
Full Time, open availability, schedule varies
Responsibilities Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipmentPrepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.
)Prepare, portion, cook food items for various meal periods or special eventsAbility to follow basic recipes and production informationEnsure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are servedKeep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchenEnsure all food and other items are stored properlyFollow all company HACCP and safety policies Skills Proven experience as cookKnowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.
)Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipmentAbility to follow all sanitation proceduresAbility to work in a team environmentVery good communication skills
