The PEIMS Coordinator is responsible for overseeing PEIMS data and PEIMS submissions,
managing the registrars to ensure data quality.
System Level Records and Reports Coordinate the collection, integration, and formatting of all data required for PEIMS submission according to TEA PEIMS Data StandardsWork cooperatively with campus, business office, and human resources staff to collect, organize, and format data required for submission of district PEIMS data on timeRun edits, reports, and verification checks on data to ensure accuracy of informationDistribute edits and reports to appropriate staff for analysis, verification, and correction.Submit complete and accurate PEIMS data in the Texas Education Agency (TEA) prescribed format to the education service center (ESC) for processing using a computer terminal or personal computer Verify data submitted to TEA and submit corrections on timeMaintain student management system parameters for the campusCreate and disseminate information on behalf of the PEIMS DepartmentParticipate in the evaluation of SIS (Student Information Systems) PEIMS Modules for accuracy and comprehensivenessProvide accuracy of information through editing reports and verification of dataEnsure appropriate staff receives edits and reports for analysis, verifications, and corrections Campus Level Records and Reports Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into the established database and verify the data's accuracy according to established proceduresPrepare and print reports, including attendance reports, grades, class or personnel rosters, six week financial reports, end-of-semester reports, or accounting reportsMaintain physical and computerized records, including student cumulative folders, progress and failure reports, class rosters, grade books, and schedule changes if applicable Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools, setting up cumulative folders, and entering student data into appropriate databasesAssist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendanceProcess and transmit requests for student information and transcriptsWork with registrars, nurses, and office managers to call parents to verify student absencesReport all attendance problems to a designated administratorWork alongside ELL Coordinator and Director of Special Education to ensure all coding and ARD/LPAC documentation is accurate in our SIS and on ELL/SPED software Training and Technical Support Guide campuses regarding TEA-required reports such as the Campus SummaryReport, Attendance Verification Report, Enrollment Verification Report, and Student Detailed ReportProvide training and support to campuses and business and human resources staff responsible for processing PEIMS data.Provide onsite support for new personnel.Receive PEIMS-related information from ESC and TEA and disseminate it to other staff in a timely manner, including updates to PEIMS Data StandardsAttend all regional PEIMS workshops and disseminate information to appropriate staff as assigned by the PEIMS CoordinatorProvide support and training to leaders and other home office personnel on the SIS system specifically around attendance, grades, and data entry Qualifications: Bilingual preferredAscender experience preferredExperience working at Etoile Academy or high achieving charter preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with a diverse staff Alignment with the school's mission to ensure that every student in grades K through 8 has the academic and character foundation necessary to succeed in high school, graduate from college and pursue ambitious life goals.
