About the Job: Corporate Attorney We are actively seeking a motivated and experienced Corporate Attorney to join our boutique Law Firm in Melville, New York, which specializes in Business, Corporate & Real Estate Law, Commercial Litigation, Trusts & Estates, and Employment Law. Compensation: $125K - 150K annually plus up to 15% in origination of new business bonuses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Spearhead market penetration strategies to attract and retain new clients, essentially driving the business development efforts of the firm. Conduct client consultations to assess their needs and propose legal strategies that align with their business goals. Negotiate, draft, and review a wide range of business contracts and agreements to ensure they meet the clients' requirements while adhering to all legal standards. Provide comprehensive support to partners on various cases, enhancing the team's capabilities and ensuring seamless legal operations. Handle real estate transactions including drafting, negotiating leases, financing documents and attending closings to ensure accurate and lawful transaction completions. Engage with adversaries professionally to settle disputes and negotiate on behalf of clients. Minimum Position Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice in New York State. A minimum of 5 years' experience working on Corporate Business Transactions and Commercial Real Estate. Proven track record of excellence in negotiation, organization, legal writing, and analytical thinking. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and manage client relationships. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in Employment Law and Commercial Litigation. Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and experience in business development within the legal context. Portable business or an existing client base that can be integrated into the firm's practice. Background in business studies or a related field that supplements legal expertise. Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Highly developed interpersonal and networking abilities to grow business relationships. Superior analytical skills to interpret and maneuver complex legal frameworks and documentations. Exceptional client management skills to handle inquiries and manage expectations. Robust organizational capabilities that allow for effective multitasking and management of various cases simultaneously.
