What you'll be doing...Verizon is looking for an experienced attorney to join the Mergers & Acquisitions and strategic transactions group.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with M&A, spectrum purchase and swaps, joint venture, venture capital and other strategic transactions on behalf of Verizon.
Work closely with internal clients in the corporate and business development teams and business units to achieve their objectives.
Coordinate and work closely with other subject matter experts in the legal and other departments in Verizon.
Independently draft and negotiate term sheets, MOUs and other transaction documents.
Manage and coordinate legal due diligence processes.
What we're looking for...You'll need to have:JD degree and six or more years of relevant work experience.
Bar admission and good standing in at least one state with eligibility for New Jersey In-House Counsel Limited Licensure.
Three or more years of M&A or other complex corporate contracting experience at a top law firm and/or in-house.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:Desire and ability to learn new subject matter.
Excellent professional ethics, integrity and judgment.
Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
Proven ability to professionally manage time, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and process a high volume of work in a timely and accurate manner with a high attention to detail.
Proven ability to work independently and autonomously, and as part of a team.
Proven ability to spot problems and develop and lead implementation of appropriate solutions.
Ability to interact comfortably with all levels of personnel and enforce legal requirements.
Demonstrated ability to handle extremely sensitive and confidential information.

Where you'll be workingIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.
If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $165,000.00 and $306,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule.
The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.
This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
