Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Counter Sales/Yard Operative to join our team at Rye. The Role We are looking for a Counter Sales/Yard Operative to join our team in our Rye Branch TN31 7TE. Based both at the sales counter and in the yard, you will become an integral part of a busy branch.
You will be dealing with sales enquiries on a face-to-face and over the telephone basis, as well as assisting customers within our yard.
You will represent the branch and assist with the growth of the business, working as a team to exceed sales targets.
Your goal will be to ensure that the needs of the customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently, providing a service that ensures that customers return on a regular basis.
You may also be required to help in other roles within the branch, including restocking the shop and stock control.
The Requirements Good building product knowledge gained within the building industry or builders' merchant experience (Preferred).Good Customer Service skills.The ability to build and maintain relationships with different types of customers.Comfortable operating a computer-based sales processing system (full training will be given).Good telephone manner.Friendly, articulate, customer-focused.The successful candidate must be proactive in their approach towards sales and a good communicator.The Hours Week 1: Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00, Saturday 08:00-12:00
