Position Summary The Creative Director will help people find and follow Jesus by creating and facilitating irresistible experiences of wonder that lead to life change for both the believer and the skeptic alike. The Creative Director oversees and supports the Creative Team, helping each team member succeed with their Menlo-aligned goals. The Director provides vision, clarity, and communication to help each team member discern priorities and resource vision. The Creative Director works cohesively with the Teaching and Creative Teams to design and execute weekend services and events. The Creative Director will ensure quality and consistency at weekend services and events across all campuses, providing coaching as needed.
The Creative Director reports directly to the Executive Pastor of Ministries and serves as part of the Extended Leadership Team. The Creative Director also has a dotted-line relationship with the campus worship leaders.
Essential Functions Work in concert with our Directional Leadership Team.Oversee Central staff, including the following teams: Production, Communications & Creative Media. Provide coaching around volunteer recruitment and development using Menlo's volunteer pipeline.Lead the Creative Team to design services and events within the annual ministry plan and service design philosophy.Develop and maintain key metrics related to successful creative planning.Ensure systems are built to facilitate and execute creative ideas for unforgettable moments.Develop and maintain a strategic plan for the central creative team to best support campuses.Visit campuses to observe and provide coaching as needed.Additional Functions Be available to service produce at campuses for select weekends.Stay up to date on trends related to worship, design, communications, and production.Plan and manage the overall creative budget.Lead weekly Central Creative meetings and weekend-planning meetings.Develop and maintain positive working relationships by living out our staff values.Additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Lead Pastor.Qualifications Required Education and Experience Minimum 5 years experience leading creative teams in a church of 500+
Preferred Education and Experience Experience with church production and or worship teams.Multisite church experience a plus.High school diploma or equivalent.Familiarity with Menlo Church.Knowledge and Skills Strong written and spoken communication skills.Pastoral heart.Knowledgeable about creative ministry best practices.Team player with a positive attitude.Proficiency with common production and office applications (i.e., Google Workspace, Asana, ProPresenter, Planning Center Online, DashBoard, Resi, Adobe, Canva & Premiere).Physical Demands Stand for prolonged amounts of time.Walk, bend, twist, and kneel.Climb up and down stairs.Ability and comfort performing work up high, using the bucket/scissor lifts and tall ladders, not afraid of heights.Finger and hand dexterity to operate cameras, computers, and lighting and production gear.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color vision, and peripheral vision; and the ability to adjust focus.Lift and carry up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.Work Conditions This position typically operates in a professional office or church environment with standard office equipment such as computers, printers, filing cabinets, and telephones. This position works in a setting with lots of large and small equipment, cables, stage lights, and other visual stimuli. Days of work are typically Sunday-Thursday with occasional Friday, Saturday, and evenings, as needed.

Must have an intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Must have compatible theology in alignment with ECO essential tenets.

The pay range for this role is:
110,000 - 140,000 USD per year (Exact compensation may vary based on skills & experience.)
