WATERFORD, a part of FISKARS GROUP CREATIVE DIRECTOR OUR ROLE We are hiring a Creative Director for one of the world's most celebrated luxury crystal brands, Waterford. In this pivotal role, you will develop and execute Waterford's global creative vision, ensuring that our product designs, brand expression, and consumer experiences elevate the brand and drive growth. Your leadership will not only honor Waterford's craftsmanship and tradition but evolve the brand forward and propel the brand into new categories and global markets, supporting commercial objectives while inspiring consumers worldwide. Collaborating across functions, you'll ensure that creativity delivers measurable business impact and long-term value for Waterford.
This is a hybrid role based in New York City, with travel to key markets as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO AT WATERFORD: Develop a Creative Vision that enhances Waterford's luxury positioning and supports business growth across all product lines and markets.Lead the design team in creating exceptional products that reflect Waterford's craftsmanship and innovation while delivering on commercial objectives.Foster a culture of high performance and creativity, mentoring the design team to deliver their best work while maintaining brand consistency and alignment with business needs.Shape product and category strategy, identifying new opportunities for category expansion that align with market demand and luxury standards.Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product development teams to align creative initiatives with business strategy and market goals.Drive innovation in product development, managing external designers and artists to bring unique, commercially viable products to market.Ensure cohesive brand expression across all touchpoints—retail, digital, packaging, and marketing campaigns—to resonate with both traditional and new consumers.Inspire and empower your team to innovate and deliver high-impact creative solutions that drive both consumer engagement and market performance.WHO YOU ARE: You are a creative leader with deep expertise in luxury design, a passion for craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of the commercial side of the business. You have an appreciation for Interiors. You balance creative vision with business acumen, ensuring that your work drives both brand and commercial success. As a natural leader, you inspire teams to think big, deliver results, and build a brand that is both timeless and forward-thinking. Your ability to translate creative ideas into business growth will be key in evolving Waterford's global presence.
10+ years of experience in luxury lifestyle, Interiors, fashion, or related industries, with expertise in product design, brand development, and business strategy.Preference for knowledge of crystal/glass design/product development process.5+ years of leadership experience in a senior creative role, ideally within a luxury or heritage brand, with demonstrated impact on business performance.Proven ability to drive long-term creative strategies that deliver both brand elevation and commercial results.Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product development teams to ensure alignment between creative and business priorities.A forward-thinking approach to luxury design, with a deep understanding of craftsmanship and the ability to anticipate consumer trends and market shifts.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire design teams, fostering original thinking and high performance while driving business impact.START YOUR JOURNEY AT FISKARS GROUP We review applications on a continuous basis. Salary Range: $185,000-$225,000 Annually
