We're seeking a Data Analyst (aka The Insight Builder) to transform raw data into meaningful analytics and visual stories that guide business strategies and improve processes.
As a Data Analyst at our client, you'll collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to interpret data, create reports, and support evidence-based decision-making. Your role will be key in enabling the organization to leverage data as a core asset.
Key Responsibilities: Collect and Analyze Data: Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that contribute to strategic decision-making. You'll work with data from multiple sources to create comprehensive reports. Develop Dashboards and Visualizations: Create interactive dashboards and data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. You'll ensure data is presented clearly and effectively for stakeholders. Support Business Initiatives with Insights: Collaborate with teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven insights that inform marketing strategies, product development, or operational improvements. Perform Advanced Data Analysis: Apply statistical methods, such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and clustering, to draw deeper insights from data. You'll use Python, R, or SQL for complex data manipulation and analysis. Generate Reports and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and documentation that summarize findings, methodologies, and recommendations. You'll present results to stakeholders in a way that is actionable and easy to understand. Optimize Data Processes: Work on improving data collection, transformation, and analysis processes to ensure data integrity and efficiency. You'll suggest and implement best practices for data handling. Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep updated with new tools, technologies, and best practices in data analytics to bring innovative solutions to your work. Required Skills: Data Analysis and Statistics: Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques and statistical methods. You can turn raw data into meaningful insights. Proficiency in Analytical Tools: Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, R, and SQL. Familiarity with data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI is essential. Data Wrangling and Cleaning: Ability to handle, clean, and preprocess data for analysis. You can manage large and complex datasets effectively. Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Proven ability to approach problems methodically and develop data-driven solutions. You're detail-oriented and capable of explaining technical results in layman's terms. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience in data analysis or business intelligence may be considered. Certifications in data analysis, data science, or relevant analytics courses (e.g., Google Data Analytics Certificate) are a plus. Experience Requirements: 3+ years of experience in data analysis, with hands-on experience working with large datasets. Experience working with cloud-based data tools or platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is advantageous. Experience with business or financial analysis and a demonstrated impact on business strategies is a plus.
