Position Summary: Level Two: Develops process plans and designs for the manufacture of our parts and tools under direct supervision.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Transfers customer data sets and generate drawings for estimates using CAD tools and other available software.
Creates forging drawings and 3D models from customer drawings and models using CAD tools.
Creates drawings and 3D models necessary for the manufacture of the dies and forging tools using the CAD tools and instruction from the supervising engineer.
Performs area, volume and weight calculations using CAD tools.
Set up and run simulations to test forging process concepts using simulation software.
Creates detailed operation sequence and Standard Work documentation necessary for the production process per the process information provided by the supervising engineer.
Develops a general knowledge of the concepts and standards used in part and process design with attention to potential lack of fill, defect formation, mismatch and die failure.
Develops a general knowledge of the techniques, hardware and software used to inspect forgings and dies.
Performs simple inspection procedures to dimensionally check dies and forgings.
Any other duties assigned.
Required Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, blueprints and specifications.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of supervisors and managers and shop personnel.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
A wide range of engineering knowledge with an emphasis on mechanics, materials, machining methods, mathematics and physics.
Experience & Education Bachelor's degree (B.S.)
from four-year college or university; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with forging and/or aerospace manufacturing is desired.
CATIA & GD&T experience is highly desired.
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter .
Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year.
Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
