Dietician - Registered (Part Time 0.6 Fte, 2-3 Days Per Week)

Summary:
The Dietitian is a member of the healthcare team for inpatient, outpatient, and long term care center.


The position performs nutritional assessments to identify nutritional needs of patients/residents, recommends/implements interventions to promote optimal nutritional status and develops proper nutritional care plans.


Provides expertise in the area of Nutrition to the health care team, patients/residents, Mille Lacs Health System employees and the Community.
Other duties include development and approval of menu and participating in quality improvement projects.


Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited nutrition and dietetics program and Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) or meets AND requirements for eligibility.

Licensed Dietitian in the state of Minnesota.


Preferred Education and Experience:
Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Current BLS certification or obtained within 3 months of employment.

Minimum one-year experience practicing Medical Nutrition Therapy.
