Jerome Home, short term rehabilitation and long term care community is seeking a qualified individual for our team of caring, dedicated professionals possessing great customer service skills and a desire to make a difference in the lives of our 120 residents.


We are seeking Dining Assistants to fill our

Part time evening

Part time Days

If you are looking for a position whose goal is to make our senior residents enjoy their Dining Service Experience - then we want to meet with you.
Must be able to work every other weekend.


As a Dining Assistant, you are delegated the authority, responsibility and accountability for carrying out your assigned duties.
You report directing to the Dining Room Manger and/or cook on duty.
Your duties include:


Preparing you area for meal services; ensure supplies are stocked, equipment is functioning properly and all necessary food is available Prepare food, etc.
in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as with our established policies and procedures.
Ensure maximum/minimum temperatures are met Set-up the service area with established menu items for your meal Always work in a clean and uncluttered environment Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
This includes following residents' menu likes/dislikes, special diets, etc Work with neighborhood CNA's, nurses, etc.
to ensure the resident receives a appetizing and palatable meal each time Follow all sanitary policies and procedures before, during and after meal service Always make the extra effort to ensure the residents are happy with their Dining Experience The successful candidate will: Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever level they are currently functioning Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to ensure the resident received the correct item, in the correct consistency for their special needs
