The Director, Business and Legal Affairs is a resource for executives and internal attorneys providing support and expertise to all of FOX's divisions. The Director, Business and Legal Affairs is integrally involved in the business and legal aspects of FOX Studio Lot operations (including sound stage, production/post-production, commissary, and office facilities operations, and services central to supporting these operations (e.g., grip, lighting, wardrobe, transportation, and engineering) and the operational infrastructure of the FOX Studio Lot), as well as for FOX's domestic and international real estate portfolio, global security operations, environmental health and safety operations, and crucial global sourcing initiatives related to enterprise operations and employee benefits. The Director, Business and Legal Affairs also plays a vital role in the legal aspects of many of Fox's acquisitions, investments, and other transformative strategic transactions. The person in this position provides advice and counsel, and drafts, negotiates, and analyzes a wide variety of agreements supporting the foregoing.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze, negotiate, and draft vendor, consulting, contractor, event production, location, and construction-related agreementsPrepare license, rental, and non-disclosure agreementsTransaction support for acquisitions, joint ventures, and equity investmentsConduct research and respond to questions, related to corporate structures and entitiesPrepare and review documents related to corporate governanceWHAT YOU WILL NEED 3-8 years of transactional legal experienceFamiliarity with a variety of vendor, service, and operational support arrangements, such as production and office facilities operations, leasing, licensing, global sourcing transactions integral to enterprise operations, legal needs for strategic transactions, and project managementSignificant experience drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements related to business operations and strategic transactions and complex project managementWorking knowledge of intellectual property, privacy and data security law, technology, direct-to-consumer platforms, SaaS contracts, and related developments, issues, and concernsAbility to simultaneously manage multiple projects, often for a wide array of unrelated stakeholders, with shifting priorities and deadlinesAbility to work well with clients and peersExcellent reasoning, verbal, and written communication skillsAdept at effectively working with individuals from a variety of fields, backgrounds, and levels, and collaborating with multiple subject matter expertsAdvanced proficiency using Word.NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER Juris Doctor degree and active member of California bar; will consider those eligible for Registered In-House Counsel status (Rule 9.46)Experience with DeltaView and iManageReal estate experience#LI-DNI

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $140,000.00-175,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
