Your role at Tumi:  TUMI is seeking a Director of Creative Services, overseeing content strategy and all production elements for the global brand.
This key leadership role reports into the Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and eCommerce, leading a small, but mighty, shared-services in-house-team inclusive of Graphic Design, Creative, Copywriting, Project Management.
The key role serves as a key conduit cross-functionally, for various creative needs across the organization, both in North America, but also handling the brand's global needs that require creative support and approvals, which all filter through TUMI's Global Creative Services department.
In addition, this critical leader is our liaison managing TUMI's outside support creative / production agencies, which function as an extension of TUMI's in-house team, whether execution of larger global campaign work (end to end from concept to post production), to photography studio management for digital assets for global eCommerce, to product hangtags and packaging needs, this individual covers a broad spectrum of creative brand elements and serves as the primary conduit in communicating with external creative and photography agencies.
As TUMI looks to its future, we look for an experienced leader with curiosity into new opportunities and efficiencies in the space, inclusive of AI creative experimentation, enhancement of project management tools and capabilities, to new opportunities in content proliferation; we are looking for a self-motivated, energetic and collaborative leader to join our team.
You will have the opportunity to work onsite 4 days, with 1 day remote weekly.
Responsibilities: Responsible for leading in-house creative services team covering creative, production, graphic services, copywriting and overall project management, oversight of all global needs, for projects big and small. Development for robust global content seasonal strategies, in partnership with Global Marketing, in steering creative direction to develop engaging brand storytelling, across global brand digital and physical touch points. Creative execution extends across supporting all channels of business: Retail Stores, eCommerce, Outlet Stores and Wholesale needs, as well as on-product needs and store experience, such as packaging, hangtags, in-store collateral, etc. Responsible for partnering seamlessly cross-functionally to understand business needs & effectively communicate project updates, across various teams, including Product Management, Design, Global Marketing, Social, Visual Merchandising and Product Knowledge & Training.
Oversight of creative execution across the full-funnel content eco-system, with robust production logistics of 10+ photoshoots each year, including global campaigns, to global PDP production. Lead, inspire and foster productivity with the in-house creative services team, which includes Graphic Design, Copywriting, & Production capabilities.
The team is responsible for the development of all creative business needs (both visual and messaging).
Which includes both Global direction/guidelines, as well as 360 North America regional execution including (but not limited to the below):  Ecommerce content needs – including but not limited to homepages, product detail page and grid content etc. Email & SMS Digital, Print, OOH layouts Product packaging  Windows, In-Store Signage & Collateral Invitations, Press Lookbooks, Catalogs, etc.
Social content  Special projects  Global Tool Kits Brand presentations  Oversight of sample coordination for all photoshoots and production needs, with close communication on Global Marketing-owned shot lists. Leads, manages and tracks global creative production budgets for all global-led productions. Serves as a key point of contact for regional leads to review and weigh in on regional creative projects, even if executional oversight or guidance is provided. Engage, develop, and maintain external vendor relationships, understanding which partners are best to engage for the right projects.
Manage asset usage rights, responsible for ensuring all regions are aware of usage and have what they need. We're excited if you have: 10+ years' experience in content strategy and execution; strong managerial proven experience running a fast paced, high execution team.Robust project management capability to lead initiatives from inception to completion, with multi-disciplinary departments, with strong attention to detail, exceptional interpersonal skills and keen problem-solving skills.Must have stellar Project Management and Production background (i.e.
photoshoots, video, digital, studio, tool kits, etc.
); required.Ability to manage multiple projects on deadline with a positive attitude.Brand-led intuition with exceptionally high personal and team standards.Desire to continually look for improvements, process efficiencies, new creative ways to experiment with content creation.Ability to execute on today's challenges, while strategizing on long term goals and objectives.Strong Project Management experience: ability to recommend tools and capabilities for increased efficiency; experience within Workfront is a plus.Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – with the ability to inspire people to listen and understand, as well as interact with senior management.Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook (or similar email environment) in both Mac/PC platforms; and design applications including Creative Suite (InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop.
