The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing financial operations and strategy, and collaborating with leaders to achieve the company's financial achievement and growth commitments.
Essential Job Functions Provide financial analysis, forecasts and identify areas for improvement Develop accurate and comprehensive financial forecasts to guide resource allocation and identify areas for improvement. Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial plans and budgets. Review and analyze budget performance, identify variances, and work with the leadership to address deviations and to optimize resource allocation. Oversee business analytics, preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports. Monitor cash flow, including forecasting and optimizing positions to support operations. Participate in annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and allocate resources effectively. Partner with business leadership supporting timely collection of accounts receivables. Recommend benchmarks to measure the performance of company operations. Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management. Conduct financial analyses as needed, particularly for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. Develop reporting and modeling capabilities. Assist in the monthly close process. Collaborate with team members to ensure their professional development and alignment with departmental goals. Collaborate with other departments to align financial management strategies with overall company objectives. Monitor industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices to continuously improve financial processes and systems. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting, finance, or a similar field; healthcare industry highly preferred Must have 2 years' experience in a managerial position Proficient in Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Word, and Excel Other Skills/Abilities Adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations Quick-thinking and astute decision-making skills Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution Excellent organization and communication skills Strong presentation skills Project management and organizational skills Physical Requirements Adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English Must be able to travel; company does not provide vehicles or transportation Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of 25 pounds Prolonged walking, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting Ability to sit and climb stairs Visual and hearing acuity Environment Performs duties in an office environment during agency operating hours Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments, which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
