Director Grants Development & Administration Location Conway, SC : Position Summary: In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Director of Grants Development & Administration is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Conway Medical Center's (CMC) grant program, including conducting detailed planning and research, writing, and developing grant proposals, tracking grants and budgets, and ensuring timely completion of grant reporting requirements. The Director of Grants Development & Administration is an integral part of a comprehensive program that serves to elevate CMC and the need for robust healthcare in the community we serve. This position may work remotely, although will be expected to attend meetings on site and always exercise strict confidentiality. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree required. Experience: Minimum of three years' experience with researching, writing, and developing proposals for state and federal grants required. Licensure/Certification/Registration None Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for sourcing and preparing grant applications; ensuring compliance with state, federal, funder and all other regulations and requirements; managing the grants compliance timeline; and working closely with the Finance Department to document payment requests, payments and expenditures. Excellent judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential and highly sensitive information. Ability to exhibit a high degree of judgment, tact and professionalism. Ability to display a high level of flexibility and resourcefulness; highly adaptable to changing needs and demands. Familiarity with the IRS rules regarding 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and PACs. Ability to work with minimal supervision; work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Identifies key relationships and essential partners to develop funding applications Gathers necessary information/data/reporting required by application and coordinates with internal staff to prepare the applications for submission Creates and edits narrative responses for grant applications Interprets award terms/conditions; monitors and analyzes revenue and expenses within budget limit and timelines Meet with program managers to evaluate and communicate data collection needs and ensure funder requirements and deadlines are met Monitor progress of meeting objectives of grants/funding sources Maintain accurate, long-range grant reporting and proposal calendar to remain ahead of deadlines and ensure timely submission of required reporting. Prepare and submit reports in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with funder guidelines Monitor compliance with grant/funder contracts and guidelines Familiarity with state and federal grant systems. Research funding opportunities to determine if CMC qualifies and would be a strong match for the grant opportunity. Prepares grant proposals including budget development. Monitor grant expenditures for compliance with grant requirements. Directly manage a defined portfolio of existing funders and prospective funders with an emphasis on state and federal government, government agencies, quasi-government agencies and non-government foundations or funders with potential to award significant six-figure grants and above. Ongoing participation and contribution to Foundation team systems and processes. Works in partnership with the Foundation team to identify new sources of funding and new channels/events for fundraising. Support government relations and policy activities including writing letters of support, and outreach to policymakers on issues benefiting CMC. Persuasively communicating the organization's mission and programs to potential funders Other duties as assigned.
