The Impact of an IT Business Partner to Coupa: As an IT Business Partner, you will be the digital strategic advisor to Sr. Leadership and Operations stakeholders of our internal business organizations. Your focus will be to partner with these stakeholders to align and prioritize their technical solution requirements with business and corporate goals and strategies.
This role will closely partner with executive leadership to ensure that IT investments deliver tangible business value. By bringing together cross-functional teams and leaning on a 'lead w/process, manage with technology' culture, the IT Business Partner will help to solve business problems, realize productive outcomes and improve operations and processes. They lead the IT Governance process for the business units to ensure efficiencies, affect smart investment decision making, mitigate risks and define and deliver on strategic roadmaps.
The successful candidate will possess operational knowledge in the areas of Finance, Legal, Procurement and Accounting workstreams and a strong business applications technical acumen. A critical function is the ability to communicate effectively to both the business and IT teams – and do so at the strategic and operational levels.
\n What You'll Do:Build strong cross-functional relationships to surface and shape demand and support high velocity value delivery Know the business needs, challenges, and opportunities and turn them into technology solutions roadmaps.Drive the business portfolio of IT projects and programs and ensure alignment with Corporate and IT strategies and business objectives.Provide leadership and guidance to the IT business partner team, project management team and business systems development teams. Deliver on time and on budget.Define and monitor key performance indicators and metrics for IT project delivery and business value realization.Drive a governance and communication framework for effective and efficient alignment, oversight, and key decision making with executives and functional leadershipEnsure adoption and manage our IT governance program, including key cadences with business portfolio teams and executive committees.Ensure compliance with governance, policies, standards, and best practices.Stay up to date with the latest technology trends, and best practices and assess their applicability and feasibility for the organization.Meet with decision-makers, system/infrastructure owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operational requirements and systems goalsParticipate in the evaluation of vendor software targeted for possible integration into the systems or environment, including strategic applications, tools, and utilitiesParticipate in value management for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisionsSupport enablement and change management activitiesPartner with leaders inside and outside the organization to keep a pulse on upcoming business needs, trends, and common business practices of our peers in the SaaS industry, using this knowledge to guide innovation opportunitiesChampion a culture of shared ownership, constant transformation, and urgency What you will bring to Coupa: At least 5-7 years in an IT leadership positionProven experience working with/for business operation teamsDemonstrated experience in IT business partnership, strategy, project management, and service deliveryExperience in creating strategic IT roadmapsMaster of relationship building and team collaborationOutstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to explain complex issues in a concise mannerAbility to think strategically, analytically, and creativelyAbility to guide, mentor, and grow a high-achieving IT teamAbility to handle multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders in a fast-paced and changing environmentAbility to listen, build rapport, and develop credibility as a strategic partnerStrong organizational and follow-up skillsKnowledge of financial modeling as it relates to technology investment using return on investment and value analysisProven track record working in a fast-paced and agile team, focused on strong executionSome domestic and international travel as needed

The estimated pay range for this role is as follows: •Based in California: $171,275-$210,500 •Based in Colorado: $156,825-$184,500 •Based in New Jersey: $171,275-$210,500 •Based in New York: $171,275-$210,500 •Based in Washington: $166,600-$196,000 The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
