Cedar Group is looking to welcome a Director of Client Services who has intimate knowledge of the Indigenous cultures of Alaska with an emphasis in public relations and marketing. Cedar's projects range from business strategy and branding to video production and websites, with a high functioning project management team to oversee it all. This specific position will ensure that our project managers have what they need to succeed not only in delivering the services for our clients, but also efficiently leading the various projects. Leadership and Team Management Responsibilities:
? Oversee Project Managers: Provide guidance, support, and direction to project
managers to ensure successful project delivery.
? Resource Allocation: Ensure that project managers have the necessary resources,
including capacity, budget, and tools, to successfully execute each project.
? Performance Management: Evaluate the performance of project managers, offering
constructive feedback, professional development opportunities, and ensuring alignment
with organizational goals and values.
? Mentorship: Act as a mentor and coach to project managers, helping them develop their
skills and reach their professional goals.
? Leadership Team Member: Attend leadership meetings with recommendations rooted
in analytics from the project management team. Lead project management team
meetings with transparency on direction and clarity from leadership.
Client Services and Project Management Responsibilities:
? Business Strategy: Contribute to the development of the Cedar Group's strategic goals,
particularly in relation to client services and project delivery.
? Project Portfolio Management: Oversee projects to ensure alignment with business
objectives, client satisfaction, ensuring budgets are met appropriately.
? Continuous Improvement: Implement policies and promote best practices in project
management and client services to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
? Reporting and Analytics: Oversee the reporting of project status, client satisfaction, and
financial performance, providing insights to senior management.
? Budget Management: Oversee the budgeting process for projects, ensuring that they
are delivered within the agreed financials.
? Profitability Analysis: Monitor the profitability of client accounts and projects, bringing
to leadership corrective recommendations as necessary to meet financial targets.
Director Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related field, or
? 5 years of proven experience in Project Management
?3 years of Leadership experience, preferably in the field of public relations and/or
marketing
? Deep understanding of the Indigenous cultures, traditions and values in Alaska
? Strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to build connections and collaborations with
diverse stakeholders
? Attention to detail
? Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
