As the Director of Development at Sprinkles, you will report directly to the CEO and shape the brand's growth domestically and internationally. Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of franchise sales and recruiting, identifying and securing new real estate opportunities, and overseeing the maintenance and construction of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in franchise development both domestic and international, real estate, and construction management, with proven leadership skills and strategic mindset.

Franchise Sales & Recruiting Responsibilities
Partners with CEO and leadership team to define the company's strategic objectives, contribute to overall financial objectives and business goals and communicate with franchise partners
Develop and execute strategies to drive franchise sales growth, both domestic and international to meet recruiting targets
Generate leads, identify new business, and build relationships to expand potential franchisees partners
Respond appropriately to franchise inquiries following up on leads via, email, phone, and/or in person.
Collaborate with marketing team to create and implement campaigns to attract qualified franchise candidates.
Manage budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize impact.
Coordinate and conduct Franchise Program communication plans.
Manage program and on-going evaluation plan of operational standards, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with Sprinkles expectations, standards and legal requirements.
Lead negotiations and collaboration with external parties to execute mergers and acquisitions, conducting due diligence and financial analysis to assess viability and strategic fit.
Work closely with the operations team/ franchise team to assure successful opening and ongoing operations
Real Estate Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate potential real estate opportunities for new franchise locations, considering factors such as demographics, traffic patterns, and competition and ensure alignment with Sprinkles standards.
Negotiate lease agreements with property owners and landlords to secure desirable locations for development.
Manage site selection process, including conducting site visits, coordinating with architects and engineers, and obtaining necessary permits.
Oversee portfolio management, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with organization goals.
Construction and Facilities Maintenance Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to oversee construction projects, renovations, and facility upgrades, domestically and internationally.
Manage construction budgets, timelines, and quality standards to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Coordinate with contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
Oversee facilities and maintenance program to ensure the ongoing upkeep to all locations promptly to maintain a safe and inviting environment for Guests and Associates.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the organization.
Skills & Knowledge
5+ years in a Director of Franchise Development, real estate, and construction role within the restaurant or hospitality industry
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related fields.
Experience in both international and domestic development, with a strong understanding of unique challenges and opportunities with each
Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive business growth
Strong understanding of restaurant financials, budgeting, planning, analysis and operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Ability to travel 60% of the time.
Required, must have residency in Austin, Texas or surrounding cities.
