Responsibilities
• Overseeing and participating in the recruitment, hiring, and training of manufacturing employees• Overseeing schedules and assignments for the division• Conducting timely and constructive performance evaluations• Handling discipline and termination of employees as needed• Ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met• Reviewing production reports to ensure goals and standards are met• Ensuring a healthy and safe working environment• Assisting with long-range operating goals and implementation of new technology• Identifying and sharing training opportunities for staff• Organizing departmental management structure and teams
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Masters degree preferred• At least ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment required• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Excellent organizational and managerial skills• Thorough understanding of manufacturing division policies and practices• Ability to set long-term goals and motivate others to accomplish them
