Responsibilities:
Establish brand strategy, strategic imperatives and budgets to achieve the business goals
Lead the planning, development, and execution of HCP promotional activities/engagement via direct selling and digital channels in support of the brand strategy
Develop and build peer-to-peer marketing strategy and tactics to educate and engage customers through live and digital formats effectively and meaningfully
Solicit feedback and provide support for sales and account field teams, including the development of new resources, related training, and engagement tools
Analyse trends in the oncology marketplace through the execution of market research, advisory boards, and analysis of secondary research to support development of marketing strategies
Manage associated budget and agency partners to deliver innovative, impactful programs that advance the brand strategies and goals across multiple customer segments including healthcare professionals
Own end-to-end process for promotional materials from idea to execution to include creating materials, managing medical/legal/regulatory review and implementation
Ensure integration of cross functional team input into development of programs and tactics to ensure strategic alignment, clinical accuracy, and compliance with industry mandates
Contribute to the development of annual brand plan with responsibility for defining and executing key areas within the tactical plan; continually evaluate the effectiveness of marketing plans and recommend changes in strategy or tactics as appropriate
Deliver executive updates: support preparation for business reviews and new findings on an ongoing basis
Manage and support special projects, initiatives, and other duties as assigned
Core Relationships:
Work seamlessly under the direction of the VP Marketing to develop and execute identified tactics/projects outlined within brand strategies
Collaborate and drive alignment across the extended multidisciplinary HTU teams, including sales, regulatory, legal, compliance and medical/scientific affairs
Direct external vendors to deliver services and collateral outlined in contractual agreements, with a focus on meeting timelines, budget, and compliance guidelines
Establish regular engagement with sales and external customers to understand market needs, identify issues and propose compliant solutions
Engage stakeholders across the broad Helsinn organization, including both US and global partners
Experience:
·10+ years of progressive experience in US biotech/pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 5 years biotech/pharmaceutical marketing
·Prior experience in oncology, dermatology, or rare disease is strongly preferred
·Strong scientific background or experience is highly valued
·Pharmaceutical sales experience is highly valued
·Experience with agency management and budget management
·Experience with market research process and development of market insights
·Experience interpreting and applying FDA regulations that impact promotions and communications within pharmaceutical industry
·Excellent communication and presentation skills combined with proficiencies in using standard business computer systems (ie. Microsoft suite)
·Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects and to meet deadlines, according to business requirements
·Strong analytical skills, ability to understand, analyze and act based on data
·Proven ability to successfully develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional colleagues and external stakeholders
·Track record of meeting or exceeding expectations in goal driven environment
·Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time domestically
Education
·Bachelor's degree required, concentration in business, marketing or science preferred
