About the role We are currently seeking a Director or People with start-up experience, to execute on our leadership team's vision for HqO in the form of People policies and practices. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Director of People will manage the department's People Operations Partner and Talent Acquisition Partner. They will have extensive experience as a Business Partner, and the skills to handle a variety of employee relations situations thoughtfully and confidently. This is a hybrid role which requires in-office work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, while working from home on Monday and Friday.
What you'll do Strategic HR Leadership:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategyBridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issuesNurture a positive working environment and promote the organization's core valuesEmployee Development and Performance Management:
Develop and implement performance management systems to enhance employee productivityCompensation and Benefits Administration:
Develop and monitor overall compensation and benefits packages to ensure the organization's ability to attract and retain top talentMonitor salary structure and compensation adjustments according to market trends and internal equityOversee 401K plan eligibility requirementsHR Compliance and Employee Relations:
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations and keep abreast of changes in legislationManage employee relations issues; conduct investigations and resolve employee conflictsMaintain HR policies and procedures and ensure they are communicated effectively to employeesEnsure agency is in compliance with OSHA standardsIdentify and create employee safety measuresDevelop and analyze HR metrics to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvementPrepare regular reports for senior management on HR metrics, trends, and issuesLOA Management:
Manage PFML, FMLA, and Workers' compensation requestsWhat you bring You have successfully led a highly engaged HR team of at least 2+ individualsYou are adaptable, strategic and an excellent communicator, both verbally and writtenYou add value by listening thoughtfully, developing strong understanding of the business and coaching managers and leadersYou have at least 8 years of experience in HR positions having responsibility for:Business partnershipGlobal HR programsEmployee relations and investigationsPolicy administrationCompensation, Benefits and Employment Law acumenSupporting a variety of employment types including non-exempt and contingentYou have worked in a business environment with multi-state and global locationsYou have a track record of building strong relationships and working collaboratively with othersYou influence and drive results cross-functionallyYou have strong knowledge of employment law and implicationsYou have worked in a fast paced, start-up environment with regularly shifting prioritiesExperience with emerging technologyExperience leading a global HR teamHow to apply For consideration, please submit your resume.
