Collaboration with various MOM's teams, such as executive leadership, category management, department specialists, as well as with key suppliers will be necessary to identify challenges and drive improvement. This role requires a balance of providing vision with feet on the ground execution. This is a full-time role reporting out of our Central Store Support office in Rockville, MD (some travel required). Identify and resolve supplier performance issues including but not limited to fill rate, on-time delivery, shelf life guarantees, credits, order-data misalignment, significant invoicing or delivery mishaps
Ensure forecast accuracy (base, promo, seasonal) of key suppliers
Oversee item and supplier life cycle (post assortment decisions)
Assess inventory risk on key items and execute best strategy for securing inventory
Drive supply chain improvements through optimization of order/delivery schedules and minimum order requirements
Optimize supply chain channels (direct from suppliers, distributors, MOM's warehouse)
Blend disparate supply chain data to create supplier scorecards to be used in business reviews
Lead business reviews with key suppliers in collaboration with category management team
Negotiate inventory liability terms; create & maintain systems that allow for consistent & easy tracking and execution
Confirm active suppliers ability to deliver, identify supplier gaps, and propose alternatives to the category management team
Identify & lead supplier performance related initiatives & systems improvements
Need to have: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Management, Business or applicable experience
5-7 years experience in a retail or wholesale environment with gathering, analyzing, and manipulating business process data within a supply chain, logistics, and supplier performance framework
3-5 years experience managing others and proven ability to train, mentor, and grow teams
Strong analytical skills and use of data blending tools/languages (Excel, Powerpivot tables, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, Bigquery) within a database environment
Previous experience shifting between big picture strategic thinking and the execution required to achieve outcomes
Excellent interpersonal, communication (written & verbal), diplomacy, and negotiation skills
Proven experience in a leadership role working with others in cross functional settings and with stakeholders internally & externally
Highly detail oriented and strong in areas of supplier negotiations, project management, analysis & problem solving, change management
High degree of self-motivation with strong ability to prioritize and execute efficiently
Proficiency with Google Suite & Microsoft Office and Project Management Software
Ability to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demands
Dependable, follows instructions and takes initiative to solve problems
Experience in a fast-paced work environment
