The Fleet Transportation Director will have strategic oversight of the Supply Chain KDP Private Fleets for US operations and is accountable for exceeding customer expectations while sustainably reducing costs. This role will require a leader who can Think Bold, continuously challenge the status quo, and be an inspirational change agent for the organization. To drive consistency in our ways of working, they will engage with their teams to identify and implement LEAN best practices across the network. The Logistics Transportation Director will play a key role in building a robust talent pool through active development of team members and other leaders in the organization.
Position Responsibilities Lead through RCI (Rapid Continuous Improvement) methods – Implementing and utilizing visual management, A3 processes, and lean logistics concepts.Manage all financial aspects of the operation, including AOP (Annual Operating Plan) development, capital planning, and administration.Analyze mid/long-range forecasts vs. capacities to identify and prevent service outages, customer impacts, and inefficiencies.Support cost savings initiatives within the network through increasing inbound KDP freight, selling excess capacity, and optimizing the network to baseline market rates.Incorporate and ensure safety programs and regulations are adhered to, promoting good safety practices and habits.Create and implement improvement plans for the overall operation including: operations, asset management, and management systems.Develop HPT (High Performance Teams) through team-based problem solving within all areas that transportation interfaces with such as: sales operations, warehousing, asset management, etc.Build robust talent pool through active development of direct reports and other leaders in the organization.Foster an environment of cross-functional collaboration through open communication and influencing partners to make One KDP decisions.Create self-managed leadership teams through engagement and empowerment.Demonstrate peer leadership through participation and management of strategic national initiatives.Continuously challenge the status quo and be an inspirational change agent for the organization.Perform all other duties as assigned.Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of the food and beverage industry.Data driven and KPI oriented decision making.Demonstrated understanding of transportation networks, costs, fleet operations, and asset management.Strong analytical skills.Established financial acumen, including multiple P&L ownership of more than $25 - $75M within an asset/driver-based environment.AOP and Capital planning experience.HPT experience.Strong communication and leadership skills.Excellent SAP, MS Office, TMS, and computer skills.Demonstrated management, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
